LADOGA - Ralph O. Houser, 73, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday at his home three miles north of Ladoga. Mr. Houser had been ill for only a brief period. Before his retirement, he had been employed by the United States Meat Slicer Co. at LaPorte. His widow, the former Louie Marie Lockridge of LaPorte, survives. The couple was married on Nov. 28, 1925. Born on Jan. 12, 1896 in Parkersburg, W.Va., he was the son of Jacob and Clora Houser. Mr. Houser moved to Indiana in 1921. Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Dwight of Ladoga and Dale of Shannondale; a sister, Mrs. John Lightner of Parkersburg; a grandson, and five step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gephart Funeral Home in Ladoga. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Mace Cemetery. - jlr
