WAVELAND -- Mrs. Elizabeth L. Hostetler, 96, a resident of this community most of her life, died Tuesday in the Bowles Convalescent Home at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient five years. Born June 18, 1867 in Douglas County, Ill., she was the daughter of Henry C. and Harriet York Jones. She married C.R. Hostetler April 27, 1887. Mrs. Hostetler was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Maj. Gen. Erwin Hostetler, adjutant general of Ohio, and Earl Hostetler of Raleigh, N.C., two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Swanay of Waveland, and Mrs. Esther Ghormley of Houston, Tex., a sister, Mrs. Fred Michener of Tuscola, Ill., 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Machledt-Servies Funeral Home at Waveland. Burial will be a Maple Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Walter Porter and Rev. C.N. McBrayer will be the officiating ministers. Friends may call at the funeral home.
