Clarks Hill – Miss Velma E. Horney, 87 of Rt 1, Clarks Hill, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday in Augsburg Village, Mulberry. She had been a patient there since June 10 and in ill health the past two years. Born in Montgomery County, she lived in the Kirkpatrick area all her life and was a 1915 graduate of Stockwell HS. Miss Horney was a member of Linden-Kirkpatrick United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Surviving are three sisters, Ruby and Mary Horney of Rt 1, Clarks Hill with whom she made her home and Mrs. Fern Waddell of Clarks Hill and a brother, Haven Horney of Colfax -kz
