John M. Horney, 73 of Linden, a retired farmer, died at 8:50 a.m. today in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, after a three-week illness. He was born in Montgomery County and spent most of his life there. He previously resided in Kirkpatrick. Mr. Horney attended school at Gladden’s Corner. He was married in 1924 in Colfax to Genevra Wall who survives. He was a member of Linden-Kirkpatrick United Methodist Church. Surviving with the wife are a son, Robert L. of Linden; a daughter, Mrs. John White of Mesa, Ariz; and five sisters, Thelma Horney, Ruby Horney, Mary Horner and Mrs. Fern Waddell, all of Clarks Hill and Mrs. Audra Isfalt of Stockwell and two brothers, Robert D of Frankfort and Haven P of Colfax. - kbz
