MACE—Mrs. Mary E. Hopkins, 86, died at Culver Hospital Thursday at 6:08 p.m. Born July 22, 1879 at Mace, she was the daughter of John Tremble and Charity Jane Castor. She was married to X. L. Hopkins and lived in the Mace area all her life. She was a member of the Mace Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church. Survivors include one son, John of Mace; a brother, Roy Tremble of Mace; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and a daughter. Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Mace Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Greeley officiating. The body will lie in state at the church for an hour preceding the services. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the Powers Funeral Home in Crawfordsville after 2 p.m. Saturday.
