Mrs. Mary Hoover died at her residence on the corner of Wabash Avenue and Water Streets, Wednesday shortly after 12 o’clock. Mrs. Hoover was born in Circleville, Ohio July 15, 1829. At the age of 19 years she was married to John Hoover and shortly after their marriage they located at Frankfort, Ind. After a few years’ residence there they moved to this city. In 1864 Mrs. Hoover graduated from the Electic College of Cincinnati and in 1866 from Penn Medical College of Philadelphia. Since then she has followed practice of medicine. Of the four children born to the deceased, two survive her, Mrs. John Rice and Mrs. John Nicholson. Elder Green conducted the funeral services at the house yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment was at the Odd Fellow’s cemetery. - kbz

Mrs. Mary Hoover, M. D., died this afternoon at 1:15 o’clock after a long illness from a complication of diseases. The funeral will occur on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Mary Morrison Hoover was born in Circleville, Ohio, July 15, 1829, where she lived until she was eight years of age, then removed with her parents to Richmond, Ind. At the age of nineteen she was married to the late John Hoover. They lived a few years in Frankfort, Ind., but spent most of their married life in this city, having resided here nearly forty years.
In 1864 Mrs. Hover entered the Cincinnati Eclectic College of Medicine, from which she graduated. She was also a graduate of the Pennsylvania Medical College of Philadelphia, Pa., having graduated from that college in 1866. She was the mother of four children; two dying in infancy, the other two survive her, Mrs. John Nicholson, Jr., and Mrs. John B. Rice.
She was in former years, a member of Center Church, and also a member of the Daughters of Rebecca, I.O.O.F., Crawfordsville Lodge. Mrs. Hoover was a most excellent old lady and her life was a busy one of usefulness to others and the world.

The funeral of Doctor Mary Hoover occurred this afternoon at two o’clock, and was conducted by Dr. J. W. Greene. The interment took place at Oak Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers were all fellow physicians of the deceased, being Doctors Leech, Griffith, Keegan, Hutchings, Ristine, and Davidson.
