Lawrence M. Hood, 64, of Rt. 1, Crawfordsville, died at 3:55 p.m. Friday in Culver Hospital. He was employed by R.R. Donnelley & Sons for 28 years and was a member of the Donnelley Club. He was a member of Smartsburg Christian Church. Mr. Hood also served during World War II with the Merchant Marine. He was graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1926. He was born Sept. 11, 1908, at Crawfordsville, a son of Lee and Flora Evans Hood. He was married Feb. 25, 1939, at Crawfordsville to Mildred Stephens, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Stanley of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pell and Mrs. Gladys Calley, both of Auburn, Calif., and a grandson, Bruce of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Wachenschwanz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday.
