LINDEN—Guy Kenneth Hood, 61, was fatally stricken Tuesday morning at his home in Lafayette and died en route to Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had lived periodically in Lafayette for the past 10 years. Mr. Hood was a member of the United Methodist Church in Linden and a veteran of World War II. He was in the Army in the Pacific Theater. He was born Sept. 25, 1909 in Linden, a son of Benjamin and Mary How- ard Hood. Surviving are a sister, Thelma of Lafayette; two brothers, Boyd of Atlanta, Ga., and H. Beverly of Houston, Tex., and nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements pending at Helms Funeral Home in Linden. - kbz

LINDEN - Services for Guy Kenneth Hood will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Helms Funeral Home here. Rev. Broten Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery.
