Stanley M. Hollingsworth, 71, Kingman died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday Oct 3, 1990 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was the stepfather of Allen E. Hetrick of Tangier. Born May 17, 1919 in Newport, he was the son of Oscar E. and Gladys Brown Hollingsworth. He married Peggy Ingram, who survives. A farmer and carpenter, he was a Navy veteran of WWII, attended Kingman Community Church and was a member of Newport American Legion Post 184.
Other survivors include two sons, Dale R. Hollingsworth of Terre Haute and Harold C. Hollingsworth of Cayuga; two other stepsons, Layton R. Hetrick of Kingman and Donald L. Hetrick of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Doyne Dwiggins of Danville, Illinois seven brothers, Howard, Maynard, Donald and Pul Hollingsworth of Newport; Hubert Hollingsworth of Dana, Emory Hollingsworth of Hillsdale and Marion Hollingsworth of Danville; grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Services were conducted Saturday at DeVerter B ros. Funeral Home in Cayuga with Rev. Glenn Ray Sr. offociating. Burial was in Harveysburg Cemetery at Kingman. - typed by kbz - thanks to Jamie Patton for sending this one :)
