Hochwender - John

John (Kerney) Hochwender, age about 63, former resident of this city, died at his home in Indianapolis Friday morning at 12:30 o'clock following an illness of about three weeks. The deceased was born in Crawfordsville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hochwender. He was united in marriage many years ago to Eva McGilliard, whose death occurred about a year ago. No children were born to this union. The only survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Martha Holland and Mrs. Lena Millikan, with whom he lived in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Eagles lodge and the Christian Science church in this city. He moved to the capital about ten years ago. Funeral services for Mr. Hochwender will be conducted at the Johnson and Montgomery funeral parlor, 1032 Central avenue, Indianapolis, Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. The remains then will be brought to this city for burial in Oak Hill cemetery. Short services will be held at the grave at about 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. - kim h
