WAYNETOWN — John E. Hobson, 63, Waynetown, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 in Parkwood Health Care, Lebanon. He was born Aug. 4, 1943 in Tangier, the son of Arnold L. Sr. and Ida Imogene (Walters) Hobson. He was a graduate of Waynetown High School. He served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Beatty during the Vietnam war. He was a retired truck driver, formerly working for Irvin Trucking and Shuster Trucking. Survivors include: a son, Phil (Lisa) Hobson, Lebanon, Tenn.; a daughter, Monica (Chris) Sprong, Lebanon; two brothers, Arnold Hobson Jr., Connersville and Anthony "Tony" (Melissa) Hobson, Waynetown; a sister, Linda (Tony) Arrigo, Waynetown; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Chris Lawler officiating. – jlr
