Ladoga - Cyrus Hits, 74, Rt. 1 Ladoga, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Mr. Hites was a retired farmer and employee at Wilson Greenhouses at Raccoon. He was a member of Homesville Ohio Christian Church and was educated in Ohio schools. He was born June 9, 1897, the son of James and Nettie Dunbar Hites. He was married to Lula F. Boley, who preceded him in death. He later was married to Elsie Mae Baldwin who survives. Surviving with the wife are two sons, Howard Hites of Homesville, Ohio and James of Umatilla, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Herpel of Wooster, Ohio; five step-sons, Russell Baldwin of Crawfordsville; Harold Baldwin, of Memphis, Tenn.; John Baldwin of Plainfield; Kenneth Baldwin of Newton, Ill. and Marvin Dale Baldwin of Kenny, Ill.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Martha Carrel, Browns Valley and Mrs. Deloris Swisher of Crawfordsville and a sister, Mrs. Walter Baunm of Ashland, Ohio. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 19 step grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reeves Funeral Home at new market with Rev. Kenneth Baldwin and Rev. Marvin Dale Baldwin . Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Reeves Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
