The friends of Mrs. Alice Burns Hinman will be painfully surprised to learn of the sudden death of her little daughter. Mrs. Hinman arrived last Tuesday noon from Washington. The child was stricken down almost immediately with diphtheria, dying Saturday morning at 12:20.

Alma Zerelda Hinman was born at Mission, Washington, July 13, 1895. She was a very bright and promising child, and this bereavement is all the more painful because of the intended summer visit, leaving the father at home, who will now have to mourn the sad affliction alone.
