Jere HINKLE was born May 5, 1824 and died Dec 3, 1902 aged 78 years 6 months and 28 days. Mr. Hinkle has been failing in health for some time. He leaves an aged wife and 3 sons and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. Mr. Hinkle served in the Mexican War and loved to tell of his experiences while in that capacity. The funeral was conducted at the family residence 5 miles west of here, Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev. Batrick; interment at the new Odd Fellows' cemetery, south of New Ross. - kbz
