Mrs. Ann Hightower died at her home in Smartsburg last Saturday morning at 5 o’clock, of paralysis and heart disease, aged 76 years. She was the widow of Hiram Mote and married the late George Hightower. The funeral services took place today in the Baptist Church in Smartsburg at 12:30 o’clock, and were conducted by Rev. A. M. Snyder. Interment was made at the Lee Cemetery.
