Mrs. Winnifred Higel of Hot Springs, Ark., sister of Rev. John R. Servies, Crawfordsville, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph Hospital at Hot Springs. The deceased was born Dec. 7, 1890, at Lapland and resided in Crawfordsville for many years. She was the daughter of John A. and Mary Catherine Peters Servies. She attended the Black Creek Valley School. Mrs. Higel married Arthur Rawson who preceded her in death. She later married Mr. Higel of Maryland who also preceded her in death. Surviving with the brother, Rev. Servies is another brother, Charles Servies of Noblesville; one sister, Mrs. Georgia Abernathy of Chicago; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all living in Washington, D.C.; several nieces, nephews and cousins in the Crawfordsville area. She was preceded in death by a son, Max Rawson; six brothers, and three sisters. Services will be conducted Tuesday in the Gross Funeral Home at Hot Springs, Ark.
