Mrs. Eva Bell Higbee, 93, died at 12:15 a.m. Monday in her home at 711 E. Market. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church. Born Nov 13, 1879, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of James Wesley and Amanda Henderson Hendricks. On July 10, 1904, she married John Elston Higbee, who died in April of 1966. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Clem of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Fruits of New Richmond; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Evia Humphreys of Crawfordsville; and a brother-in-law, Clifford Higbee of Mellott. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Carter officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. -- kbz
