Mrs. Martha A. Hickman, 75, mother of Mrs. Joe Cook of Crawfordsville and a resident of Lafayette since 1908, died at 4:21 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She had been in failing health for four months and was a patient in the hospital for four weeks. She was born near Monticello on Jan. 10, 1888. She was reared there, moving to Lafayette in 1908. In 1910 she married Harry D. Hickman. He preceded her in death in January of 1947. Survivors, besides the daughter, include a grandson, Robert E. Cook of Crawfordsville, and a great-grandson, also of this city. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette with Rev. Earl Heimsburger officiating. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery in Lafayette. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
