Harvey N. Hiatt, 93 of Hillsboro died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Monday morning July 13 at 2 a.m. Mr. Hiatt who has been making his home with his daughter Mrs. Homer Bever and husband of Hillsboro for the past 15 years fell at their home Friday and suffered a broken hip. He was removed to the hospital by ambulance. Mr. Hiatt was born oct 1, 1859 in Darlington, Ind the son of John and Mary Lowman Hiatt. In 1895 he was married to Etta Durham who preceded him in death. The survivors are the daughter with whom he made his home; a granddaughter, Mrs. Margaret Vickery of Crawfordsville; two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was a retired Pennsylvania railroad employee and was a member of the Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge of Darlington. The body was at Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro until the funeral service which was held at the Methodist Church in Darlington at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery in Darlington. – kbz
