Charles HILLABOLD, 65, farmer, residing two miles north of Waveland died at his home Friday morning after a lingering illness. Born June 30, 1877 at Prieceton (sic) the son of M.R. and Ida GRIFFITH Hillabold, he was married Oct 14, 1926 to Marguerite GLENN. Surviving are one daughter, Harriet, two sisters, Mrs. JR COPPEDGE and Miss Esther Hillabold of Gary, and a nephew, Robert Coppedge also of Gary. The body was taken to the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market where funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30. Rev. Esmond Elliot of the New Market Baptist Church preached the sermon. Burial in Freedom Cemetery. -- kbz

New Market, Feb. 26 - Charles Hillabold, 65 years old, farmer, residing two miles north of Waveland, died at his home Friday morning, after a lingering illness. Born June 30, 1877, at Pierceton, the son of M. R. and Ida Griffith Hillabold, he was married Oct. 14, 1926 to Marguerite Glenn, who survives. Also surviving are: one daughter, Harriet, two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Coppedge, and Miss Esther Hillabold of Gary, and a nephew, Robert Coppedge, also of Gary. The body was taken to the Noble Reeves funeral home in New Market where friends may pay their respects. Funeral services will be announced later. Mr. Hillabold had spent most of his life in Stafford, Kan., moving there with his family when he was a boy. - thanks so much to Sue P. for sending this one :)
