Hicks - Nancy Kinder

whoops, missed the first half of this one
....her daughter Betsy, Nov. 4th, Mrs. Nancy Hicks in the 93rd year of her age.
The deceased came from Ky. to this state.
She resided in the forts in the early days, and has witnessed many struggles between the whites & the Indians, also massacre of a noted family of Old Kentucky.
Aunt Nancy though a remarkably stout woman in her early days and of strong constitution, had not seen a well day since the 9th of June. Her funeral was preached by Elder John, of the Christian Church. The old lady became a member of this denomination at Hebron, Putnam Co, 22 years ago, since which time she has been a consistent Christian and a kind friend to all.
