New Market - Charles Wallace Hester, 85, died at 1 p.m. Saturday (Oct 13) in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been seriously ill two weeks. Mr. Hester was a retired farmer and farmed in this area all his life. He also was in the livestock business for a number of years. He was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Church and Modern Woodmen Lodge here. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne VanCleave of New Market; a brother, Elmer of Ladoga; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Stilwell of New Market; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reeves' Funeral Home here with Rev. John Servies of Crawfordsville in charge, assisted by Rev. Lee Mangold. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. - kbz
