Mrs. Maggie Lee HESLAR, 69 a lifelong resident of Waveland and community, died at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home here following an extended illness with a complication of diseases. Born October 29, 1871 in Parke County, Mrs. Heslar was the daughter of Joe and Jane WILSHIRE. She was married to William Heslar on July 17, 1894 at Crawfordsville. T he deceased was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are the husband; two sons, Chester E. Heslar and Guy L. Heslar of Waveland; 3 daughters, Mrs. Josephine Davis and Mrs. Bernice Harvey of Bluffton and Mrs. Dorothy Holmes, Peru; 3 brothers Tom; Mirt and Albert Wilshire all of Waveland; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Paris and Mrs. Artie Davis both of Terre Haute. And six grandchildren. T he body was taken to the Machledt Funeral Home and services were held at the Freedom Baptist Church at 10 o'clock Wed morning with Rev. John Servies in charge.
