Chester E. Heslar, 68, who formerly operated hatcheries and a gasoline service station in Waveland died at 7;50 a. m. Thursday Nov 14, 1963 at his home here following a serious illness about six weeks. He was born May 5, 1895 in Waveland, son of Wm. and Maggie Wilshire Heslar; married Mary Hazlett at Rockville Jan 18, 1924. Mr. Heslar was a member of Waveland Presbyterian Church; Waveland F& AM Lodge 3 0; Waveland American Legion & Scottish Rite at Indianapolis. He was a veteran of WWI, having served with the 14th Baloon Company in France. Survivors include the widow; 3 sisters, Mrs. Josephine Davis; Mrs. Bernice Harvey and Mrs. Dorothy Holmes; two uncles, Mirt Wilshire; Albert Wilshire an aunt, Mrs. Anna Heslar of Waveland and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a son. Funeral services w ere held at 2 p.m .Saturday, Machledt & Servies with the Rev. Paul Bingham officiating; burial in Portland Mills Cemetery.

- Chester Heslar and Miss Mary Hazlett were married in Rockville Monday by Rev. CR Collings. Mr. Heslar is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Heslar. He served in the WW in the balloon corps. Mrs. Heslar is the daughter of Mrs. Amanda Hazlett and is a graduate of the Russellville schools. For the present they will live with Mr. Heslar's parents.
