Mrs. Ellen Bernice HENRY, 28, died shortly before 6 o'clock Friday evening at Culver Hospital here of a complication of diseases. She had been ill since the middle of August. Mrs. Henry was born April 24, 1909 at Waveland, the daughter of Walter R. and Mellie B. DOWDEN. She was married to Patrick Henry Sept 27, 1929 in Crawfordsville. The deceased, was graduated from Crawfordsville HS with the class of 1927 and was a member of the Baptist Church. For two years preceding her marriage, Mrs. Henry was employed by RR Donnelley plant here as a bookkeeper. Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are a son, Gordon Keith Henry, age 7 and one aunt, Leona Warrick of Los Angeles California. Last rites were conducted from the Proffitt & Sons parlors Sunday at 1 p.m. in charge of Rev. Esmond Elliott with interment in the Freedom Cemetery. Pallbearers were Floyd Williams; Wilbur Dickerson; Jess Tague; William Jones; Goerge Campbell and George Duncan. Flower bearers were Julia Morrow; Katherine Cochran; Ruby Tague; Geneve Morello; Mary Long; Sarah Henry and Rena Purcell. The proffitt & Sons quartet, composed of Mrs. Lester McClarmrock, Ruth McClamrock, Raymond rosey & Goerge horton, sang It is Well With My Soul, No Dissappointment in Heaven and The Beautiful Garden of Prayer with Miss Iva Reynolds at the organ. Mrs. Henry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dowden, formerly lived on West Main Street in the Butcher house and are now living at Bluff Mills. - kbz
