Mary Hendricks, 75 years of age, died at her home, 507 east Franklin street at 6:30 o'clock on Tuesday evening, after an illness of about three years with a complication of diseases. The deceased was born on September 24, 1848, near Mace, the daughter of Peter and Hannah Vannice. She was married to Allen Hendricks on August 16, 1889. Mrs. Hendricks was a member of the Christian church and was very well known in this city. She is survived by her husband, two step-sons, Frank Hendricks of Portland, Ore., and Jacob Hendricks of Crawfordsville; one grandson, a great granddaughter, two half sisters and a half brother. The funeral will be held from the home on east Franklin street at two o'clock Thursday afternoon in charge of the Rev. E.A Arthur. Burial will be made at Mace - thankst o Kim H

God in infinite mercy has seen fit to take from our midst a loving wife, mother and neighbor, we can only bow our heads to His Will. Miss Mary Vannice was born September 24, 1848, near Mace, the daughter of Peter and Hannah Vannice. In the year 1867 she was united in marriage to David Freeman. To this union one son was born, who preceded her in death nine years ago. August 16, 1889, she was married to Allen Hendricks. No children were born to this union but she was a good mother to the four step-sons. She was a good Christian woman, loved by all who knew her. While not able in later years to be an active member of the church much of her time was spent with her Bible. Mrs. Hendricks is survived by her husband and two step-sons, Frank, of Portland, Oregon, and Jacob, at home; one grandson, one great-granddaughter; two half-sisters, Mrs. W.A. Runyan of McAlister, New Mexico, and Mrs. Lima Guma, of Hominy, Okla.; one half brother of Kansas; two nieces Mrs. Eva Cox of Mace, and Mrs. Ida Seybold of west of this city, and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn. - thanks to Kim H for these
