NEW RICHMOND, Ind. (CNS)— Mrs. Mary M. Henderson, 83, of New Richmond, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday (May 12, 1973) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been a patient since Thursday evening. Born Dec. 19, 1889, near New Richmond, she was the daughter of John Newton and Louella Graves Morris. She was married Feb. 7, 1911, to Alfred L. Henderson, who died in July of 1963. Mrs. Henderson served as acting postmaster of New Richmond from 1935-1945. She was a 1910 graduate of New Richmond High. A member of the Center Congregational-Christian Church since 1904, her other memberships included the Dorothy Q. Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Crawfordsville and the New Richmond Chapter 377 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two nephews, M. L. Smith of Naples, Fla., and E. C. Smith of Tampa, Fla. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Meharry and Mrs. Mildred Smith. There will be no services or visitation. The body will be cremated. The Servies-Thomas Funeral Home of Waynetown was in charge.. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the heart fund.
