Funeral services for Mrs. Marguerite Helms, age 72, a resident of Veedersburg for the past 40 years, who died Tuesday, April 6, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Parham Funeral Home, Veedersburg. The Rev. Edith Bruner officiated and burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Mrs. Helms, who died in the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington, where she had been a patient since Nov. 1, was born Nov. 13, 1893 at Ogamaw, Ark. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bayton Clark. Mrs. Helms was a member of the Methodist Church. She was married April 23, 1916, to Horace Helms who survives. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: one daughter, Mrs. Hannah Lou Smith of Veedersburg; one son, Horace H. Helms Jr. of Silver Springs, Md. one sister, Mrs. I.H. Roland of Melvern Ark.; and five grandchildren --typed by Walt W

VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Marguerite Helms, 72, of Veedersburg, died Tuesday morning in Rudisill Nursing Home at Covington where she had been a patient since last Nov. 1. She had been in failing health several years. Mrs. Helms had been a resident of this community for 40 years. She was a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church. Born Nov. 13, 1893, at Ogamaw, Ark., she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Clark. She was married April 23, 1916, to Harvey Helms, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Horace H. Helms of Silver Springs, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Hannah Lou Smith of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. I. H. Roland of Malvern, Ark., and five grandchildren. The body was brought to Parham Funeral Home here.
