Mrs. Clara Covey Helm, 85, a resident of this community the last several years, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after an illness of several weeks. A native of Washington County, Ohio, she was a daughter of James and Mary Cassady Covey and was born June 1, 1885. She married Fred Helm, who died in 1956. A son also preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, Herbert Carroll of Dennison, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Cal Harris of Tuscola, Ill., and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at McGaughey & Son Funeral Home here, with R. D. Spencer of Bargersville officiating and interment in Russellville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
