Covington - Albert M. Hegg, 65, died at 1:26 p.m. Jan 24, 1992 at Community Hospital, Williamsport. He was born Sept 5, 1926 at Covington, the son of Devon E. and Louise F. Warrick Hegg. He married Neva June Hines August 27, 1949 at Crawfordsville. She survives. He was a life resident of Covington, a WWII Navy vet and electrician with Olin Corp now Flexel for 35 years. He and his wife operated Hegg's Courthouse Cafe from 1972-1986. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and Fountain County Old Guard Post 2395 VFW. Surviving besides the wife are a son, Stephen Hegg, Indianapolis; a daughter, Kathleen (John) Waclaw, Covington; a sister, Christine (Stanley) Gross; two brothers, Harold (Barbara ) Hegg and James (Sherry) Hegg; all of Covington; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Hegg, Susan Hegg, Danny Waclaw, Cheryl Waclaw and Troy Stewart, an aunt, Pauline Warrick, Covington, several nieces and nephews. Mass was at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Donald Vernon. Burial was in Mt. Hope with military services. Shelby Funeral Home, Covington was in charge of arrangements. - kbz

Covington – Albert M. Hegg, 65, of Covington, died at 3:26 p.m. Friday in Community Hospital in Williamsport. Mr. Hegg served in the Navy during WWII and he had been an electrician at Olin Corp now known as Flexel for the past 35 years. He and his wife also operated Hegg’s Courthouse Café in Covington from 1972 until 1986. Born on Sept 5, 1926 he was a native and lifelong resident of Covington. He married Neva “June” Hines on Aug 27, 1949 in Crawfordsville. She survives. Mr. Hegg was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Covington and Fountain County Old Guard Post 2395 of the VFW. Also surviving are a son, A. Stephen Hegg of Indianapolis, and a daughter, Mrs. John (Kathleen) Waclaw, a sister, Christine Gross and two brothers, Harold and James Hegg, all of Covington. - kbz
