Alfonsa (Al) Hendricks, 82, died about 6 p.m. Sunday at the Liter Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. He had been ill for several years. Born April 2, 1875, near Waynetown, he was the son of Smith and Mary Hunter Hendricks. He married Lora McDonald in 1928. Mr. Hendricks lived in the Waynetown and Crawfordsville communities where he did farm work most of his life. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Spor of Crawfordsville; one sister, Mrs. Florence Straub of Crawfordsville, three nieces and four nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Proffitt & Brown Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Lee R. Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday.
