Mrs. Margaret HEAD died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Hayes in Wingate last Thursday at 1:45 o'clock having suffered an attack of double pneumonia. She had been ill only a few days previously and her death came as a sad shock. Mrs. Head was about 79 and is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Susan Elkins of Grand Junction Colorado; Mesdames Thomas Asberry and John Simmerman of Veedersburg. The body was brought to this city Friday afternoon and taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Asberry where the funeral was conducted Saturday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. OP Cooper. Interment in the DeHaven Cemetery northwest of the city.
