James Hays, 52 years old, a farmer resident of Crawfordsville died at the home of his brother, Robert A. Hays, North Walnut Street this morning after an illness of several weeks with abscesses. Mr. Hays became ill in Jonesboro, Indiana and was brought to his brother's home here by his wife Tuesday. His condition gradually became worse until his death this morning. Mr. Hays had been away from this city more than 20 years. He formerly conducted a restaurant on North Green Street. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Lena Faulk of Texas and two small sons. Funeral services will be held from the brother's home Saturday afternoon with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
