Hayes - Martha Colclazer

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Hayes Danville, Ill were held from the Methodist Church here Monday afternoon. Mrs. Hayes a former resident had been ill the past several weeks but arose Saturday morning about 11 o'clock and fell as she left her bedroom where she died and was found by members of the family of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Hauk with whom she resided. Good Night and Good Morning and Abide with Me were sung by Mrs. William Logsdon and Mrs. HG Lewellen with Mrs. Maurice Rusk as pianist, Rev. Guy E. Tremaine had Martha Received Him into her House as his subject for the funeral discourse.
Flowers were carried by Miss Pearl Runyan, Lafayette; Mrs. Lulu Simpson, Lansing, Mich; Mrs. Ray Dazey, Elmdale and Mrs. Blair. The pall bearers were: Walter Shurr, Perry Meek, Charles Meek, Danville, Ill; Oscar Hayes, Sidell, Ill; Chas. Shurr of Crawfordsville and Elwood Richardson, Romney. Burial took place in the Masonic Cemetery.
Martha Hayes was born Oct 10, 1851 near Covington, the daughter of George and Jane Bilsland Colclazer. She was married Nov 11, 1875 to Philip Hayes who preceded her in death 10 years ago. She was a member of the Waynetown Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, one grandson; Herschell Hauk and one great grandson, Robert Hauk, all of Danville, Ill and several nieces and nephews - bz
