Wingate, Ind Nov 17 - Funeral services were held at the ME Church here 10:30 Thursday over the remains of Walter Haxton whose death was the result of a motorcycle accident. Mr. Haxton was born and raised near Wingate and lived here awhile after his marriage before going to Linden to live. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias also a member of the Methodist Church. Rev. Daughter, a former minister here, preached the funeral sermon. He leaves a widow, three-year-old daughter, father, mother, brother and sister and many friends. It seems especially sad for a young man of only 26 years of age and in perfect health to meet with death and his family have the sincere sympathy of the community. - kbz
