VEEDERSBURG — Simon J. Haupt, 85, of Rt. 4, a retired farmer, died Thursday morning in Turtle Creek Convalescant Centre at Lafayette. Born Feb. 15, 1889, in Warren County, he was a son of Simon D. and Francis Brandbury Haupt. He was married to Della Mae Clark on Oct. 11, 1919. She is deceased. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lois Smith of Union Pier, Mich.; Mrs. John (Betty) Sanquist of Pine Village, and Mrs. Victor (Doris) Hutts of Lafayette; four sons, Paul and Ralph of Lafayette, Simon C. of Fort Wayne and Melvin G. of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parham Funeral Home here with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday. --typed by Walt W
