ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) -- Charles M. Hatton, 64, of 408 Monroe, died early Thursday morning (Oct. 30, 1969) at his residence. He had been in declining health the past year. Mr. Hatton was born July 20, 1905, in Wingate, a son of Clarence Lee and Bessie Davidson Hatton. He married June Hullihan in 1942. She survives. He was a graduate of Wingate High School and attended Wabash College. In 1944, Mr. Hatton was associated with Cabinet Craft Co. of Attica, and he later moved to LaGrange, where he worked for Yoder Lumber Co. Mr. Hatton then returned to Attica, and was employed by Harrison Steel Co. for 23 years. An avid sports enthusiast, he was past president of the Attica Little League. Besides the widow, Mr. Hatton leaves two sons, John F. of Indianapolis, Peter L., a student at Wabash College; three sisters, Katherine Johnson of Indianapolis, Mary Carver of Chicago, Virginia Busic of Attica; two brothers, Robert of Lafayette, Frank of Attica; and two grandsons. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Romer Funeral Chapel in Attica, with the Rev. Vernon Seaton officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. ATTICA — Charles M. Hatton, 64, of 408 E. Monroe St., Attica, died early Thursday morning at his home, in his sleep. He had been in declining health the past several years. Mr. Hatton was born July 20, 1905, in Wingate, the son of Clarence Lee and Bessie Davidson Hatton. His marriage in 1942 was to June Hullihan, who survives. A graduate of Wingate High School, he attended Wabash College. Mr. Hatton was associated with Cabinet Craft Co. in Attica in 1944; later he and his family moved to Lagrange where he worked for the Yoder Lumber Co. Returning to Attica, he had been an employe of Harrison Steel Castings Co. for over 23 years. Always an avid sports enthusiast, he was past President of the Little League organization. A man of great musical talent, he had traveled in the Chatauqua Circuit. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church at Attica. Surviving with the widow are two sons, John F., Indianapolis, and Peter L., a student at Wabash College; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Johnson, Indianapolis; Mrs. Mary Carver, Chicago; Mrs. Virginia Busic, Attica; two brothers, Robert Hatton, Lafayette; Frank Hatton, Attica. Two grandsons also survive. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday from the Roemer Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Vernon Seaton officiating.
