Mrs. Thelma Hatt, 39, wife of Albert V. Hatt, died Sautrday morning at the family home, 410 Meadow Avenue. She had been ill several months. Born Feb 21, 1907, near Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Melinda Boracher Douglas. She was married May 9, 1925. Mrs. Hatt, who was active in church and community affairs was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church and Simonides Court of the Ben Hur LIfe Association. She also was a former president of the Daughters of Union Veterans. Survivors besides the husband are one son, Charles William Hatt; a daughter, Marcia Cheryl Hatt; the father; four sisters, Mrs. Iva Weir; Mrs. Gladys Demoret; Mrs. Allena Rivers and Mrs. Eula Keller; and two brothers, Ralph Douglas and Raymond Douglas, all of Crawfordsville and vicinity. The mother, Mrs. Charles Douglas died in May, 1943. Funeral services will be held at 2:39 o'clock Monday afternoon at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine and Dr. Claude M. McClure officiating. Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding the rites. Friends may pay their respects at the home of Mrs. Iva Weir, 804 West Wabash Avenue until noon Monday. - typed by kbz
