Waynetown April 3- Mrs. Altha Bernice Harwood, popular young woman of this place died at 4 p.m yesterday after being critically ill for 3 weeks with tuberculosis. She had been in failing health for a year. Mrs. Harwood was born Dec 1, 1905 the daughter of Jason and Nancy Keys. She became the wife of Theodore Harwood Feb 25, 1925. Mrs. Harwood graduated from Waynetown HS in 1924 and was one of the most popular young women of the community. She is survived by her husband, her father andmother, 3 sisters, Mrs. Clarence Bannon of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Virgil Ellis of HIllsboro and Zula E. Keys at home. The funeral will be held from the Methodist Church here Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Bernie Fruits of Lizton will officiate and burial will be made at the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. - kbz

Waynetown, April 6 -- The funeral of Mrs. Bernice Keys Harwood who died Friday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Keys south of town was conducted by Rev. VE Fruits of Lizton Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church. Pall Bearers were: Paul Redmond, Harold Fuller, Gleyre Barricklow, John Harwood, Lawrence Cown and Edgar Quillen. Flower bearers were Elpha Stockdale, Gladys Higbee, Dorothea Rusk, Hollis Wilson, Mary Hendricks and Nellie Fruits, all members of her graduating class of 1924. Singing was by Miss Mary Cowan, Miss Nina Cowan, Mrs Kleplinger and Mrs. Iva Fruits. The parents, sisters and youung husband with whom she was permitted to live but little more than a year, have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community on their sad bereavement. Burial was made in the Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
