TANGIER, Ind. (CNS) — Lawrence F. Harvey, 93, a life resident of the Tangier community, died at 10:45 p.m. Monday (March 15, 1971) at the Danville Care Nursing Home. He had been a patient there 11 months. Born Feb. 23, 1878, in Liberty Township of Parke County, he was the son of Samuel and Sarah Woody Harvey. He was married Sept. 29, 1900, to Susie Church, who died Feb. 3, 1928. Mr. Harvey was a retired carpenter and was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 314. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Madge Parent of Tangier and Mrs. Rosanna Miller of New Richmond; a son, Glenn of Tangier; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two sons, Frank and Samuel; a daughter, Mrs. Sally Jackson, who died Jan. 27, 1965; and a grandson, Staff Sgt. Mervin Jackson, killed in action in Germany during World War II on March 24, 1945. Services will be at 2 EST Thursday at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home in Marshall. The Rev. Ruth Isaacs will officiate. Burial will be in Tangier Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Wednesday. -- typed by Walt W
