James M. Harris died at Crawfordsville Wednesday morning after a lingering illness. The funeral occurs at 2 this afternoon. He was a brother of SS Harris and an uncle of Barnett and Miss ... (whoops.. sorry, I missed it - I'll try to get it sometime :(  :) - kbz

James Harris, aged 55 years, died Tuesday night at his home, 716 South Walnut Street. He had been a sufferer from cancer for two years. The funeral will occur at the residence this afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery.  Mr. Harris was a soldier in the Civil War, serving in the 10th Indiana volunteers, and later in the regular army. He leaves a wife, but no children. -s
