A.J. Harris, 86, prominent Walnut Township farmer died at 9:40 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home in Linnsburg. He had been in failing health several weeks and seriously ill two days. Born June 11, 1865 (sic), in Virginia the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Harris, Mr. Harris came to Indiana with his parents when he was 14 years old. He married Eliza A. Armstrong of Mace Dec 21, 1890. He was engaged in farming south of Linnsburg most of his life. Surviving are a grandson, Stanley Harris of near Linnsburg, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gertrude Harris, also of near Linnsburg; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home in Linnsburg, with burial at Mace K of P cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the home. Rev. Ralph Gwinn former pastor of the Mace Methodist Church will officiate. - kbz
