Mrs. Martha E. Harrell, wife of H. F. Harrell, died at her home, 101 Chestnut Street, Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, following an illness of eight weeks duration. The decedent was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson and was born July 13th, 1859. She was married to H.F. Harrell at Veedersburg, thirty one years ago. Mrs. Harrell is survived by a father, a brother Charles Jackson, of Girrard, Kan., a sister Mrs. Ettie Brown, of Waukomis, Okla., and two children, Russell and Della Harrell, of Terre Haute. She was member of the First Baptist Church for the last sixteen years. The Rev. J. Frederick Rake, pastor of the First Baptist Church will have charge of the funeral services which will be held from the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The interment will be at Masonic Cemetery.

The funeral of Martha E. Harrell occurred Friday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. J.F. Rake. Miss Ida Lydick, Miss Ethel Newell, Harry Davis and Mr. Slagle sang. Interment took place at the Masonic Cemetery.
Martha E. Jackson was born the thirteenth day of July, 1859, and departed this life May 25, 1910, being 50 years, 10 months and 25 days old. On the thirteenth day of March 1879, she was united in marriage to H.F. Harrell. To this union two children were born, Mrs. C. T. Hedges, of Terre Haute and R.E., Harrell of this city, She is also survived by a father, Andrew Jackson, of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Ettie Brown, of Waukomis, Okla., a brother, Charles Jackson, of Girard, Kansas.
At an early age in life she gave herself to the Master, uniting with the First Baptist Church of this city. Her willingness to submit her life was expressive in the last hours by constant praying to the Father to take her home, and the singing of a favorite hymn. "While Jesus Whispers to You Come Sinners Come."
