John Charles Harper, 75 of 610 Winthrop Drive died at 1:48 a.m. Thursday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. harper worked for the Indiana Printing Co for 43 years . He was a WWII veteran, having served in the Army Air Force. His memberships included the Eagles, Elks 483 Moose and he was a past commander of the American Legion 72. He also was a life member of Mellott Christian Church. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1937.  He was born Feb 18, 1919 in Fountain County to Everett and Matie Willhite Harper. He married Virginia Sanders Sept 25, 1937 at Waynetown. She survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Arnette Cline of Crawfordsville and Jean Ballard of Chico, Calif. He was preceded in death by four sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Norris A. Keirn officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
