Vivian Lucile Harpel, 76 of Shannondale died at 2:45 a.m. today in Culver Hospital Emergency Room. She was a member of the Whitesville Christian Church and attended the Shannondale Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. Mrs. Harpel was also a member of the Ladies Aid of the Shannondale Church, Rebekah Lodge of Shannondale, Franklin Township Home Extension Club and served as director of Red Cross for Franklin Township and director at large of 4-H Clubs, Inc., She graduated from Ladoga HS in 1932. She was born Dec 28, 1913, near New Ross to Orval W. and Dora linn Randel. She married Walter J. Harpel Nov 15, 1942. He survives. Also surviving are a sister, Pauline Walters of Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Fisk officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-8 pm. Tuesday.
