Harpel - Cora Fruits

Mrs. Cora Effie Harpel, who would have been 86 years old Thursday died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital after an illness of several months. She lived on a farm eight miles east of Crawfordsville for many years. She was the daughter of Ambrose and Jerusha Fruits and was born March 24, 1874, near Waynetown. She married AD Harpel April 4, 1894. Survivors include the husband; three sons, Alfred of Linden, Walter of Shannondale and Donald, at home; two daughters, Hazel Harpel at home and Mrs. Faye Cruea of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Alta Brown of Waynetown. A daughter, Mildred and sister, Mrs. Bertha Brannon preceded her in death. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home where friends may call after 12 noon Monday. Rev. Everett Nixon of Kokomo will officiate and burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery - kbz
