Waynetown Jan 17 - Joshua Harlan died at 2:30 o'clock this morning after an 11 months' illness from uremic poisoning at his home in this place.  He was born in Rush County May 14, 1838 the son of Nathaniel and Sarah Ratler (? smudged) Harlan and 55 years ago was married to Mary Bone.

In 1880 he moved to Montgomery County and since that time has resided either in Montgomery or Fountain counties,  He is survived by his widow; four children: George Harlan of Hillsboro; Elmer and Albert Harlan of this place and Mrs. Minnie Fye of Mattoon, Ill.  Also by two brother and four sisters: Jacob of Lebanon and Samuel of Greensburg; Mrs. Nancy Price of Lebanon; Mrs. Sarah Price of Roachdale; Mrs. Eliza Rogers of Milroy and Clarissa Green of Milroy.  14 grandchildren also survive him.  Funeral services will be held at the home here at 2 o'clock on Wednesday and interment will be at the Masonic cemetery. - kbz
