Hardee - Nina

Nina, the little daughter of James and Bettie Hardee was born November 22, 1898 and died March 8, 1901, aged 2 years, 3 months 16 days. She leaves father, mother, three sisters and one brother to mourn the loss of their dear departed loved one. She was a very loving and affectionate child and to say that we will sadly miss little Nina is only a mere expression of the fact for she was dearly loved and petted by all. But the sweetest of flowers only bloom to fade and died … Eva Vancleave

Nina E. Hardee was born Nov. 22, 1898, and died March 8th, 1901, from measles and congestion of the bowels. She was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Hardee and sister of one boy and three girls. The funeral was held at the home of the parents and the interment was at the Presbyterian Cemetery. Her life was like the dawn of a bright spring day, when the sun arose in all its glory and shone with utmost splendor; but when it had scarcely entered its brightest hour it was hidden by an eclipse to shine no more until another day where darkness is unknown. - s

Nina Hardy, small child of Mr. and Mrs. James Hardy, was born Nov. 22, 1898, and died March 9, 1901. As we look on the little form so cold and pale, we can scarcely realize that one so beautiful could have lived and suffered the pain of death, and while shedding tears of sorrow over her early grave we cannot wish her back to this low world of sin and death, for we know full well she is resting where sorrow and death cannon come. The little play things are laid away with many sad, bitter tears, for the one who loved and cherished them has gone beyond recall.  Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at the home, one and one half miles west of this place, by Rev. Miller, of Waynetown. Interment was at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. -s
