Charles L. Hardee, 49, of 708 Maple Lane, Brownsburg, and formerly of Crawfordsville, died Saturday in Winona Hospital at Indianapolis of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Hardee was employed by Allison Division of Detroit Deisel. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, member and past post commander of Brownsburg American Legion and was formerly a member of the Hendricks County Selective Service Board. Surviving are the widow, Evelyn; a daughter, Mrs. Denise Poppa of Brownsburg; and a grandchild. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Jones & Matthews Mortuary at Brownsburg. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
