Ladoga -- Joshua HARRISON, father of John W. and James H. Harrison died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. James Harney at this place on Monday afternoon aged 90. Deceased was a native of VA but came to IN 41 years ago. His health had been feeble for 9 months preceding death and he presented a remarkable example of the tenacity of life during almost the whole of that time. On several occasions during the last two months the family of sons and daughters called upon to gather by his bedside and listen to the breath that would witness the parting of body and spirit but not till Monday last did life refuse to reassert its power over that once vigorous frame and leave the body cold in death. Thus passes away a companion of those old pioneers almost on the eve of their contemplated reunion at Newtown.
